5 Best Apps to Make Money Fast

by Timothy Gagnon

So you’re looking for apps to make money fast, but you’re not sure where to start and which ones are legitimate. We were in the same situation. After trying numerous apps and tools, and many months of frustration, we finally narrowed down a handful of apps that you can use to earn money fast.

Before we get to the list, we need to clarify that these apps might not work for everyone. There are other factors that affect your income potential, such as; in which country the app is available, the device you use, the operating system (IOS or Android), your demographic, and many others.

In other words, I can’t guarantee that these will work for you, but they do work for us and most of our readers. Bear in mind, when it comes to these kinds of apps and websites, you shouldn’t expect to earn enough to replace the income from your job.

In fact, with most of them, you’ll be earning less than minimum wage. While you won’t get rich, if you combine a few and steadily work, you can earn some extra side income.

5 Best Apps to Make Money Fast

1 – SurveyTime.io

While Survey Time doesn’t have an official app, the web page is optimized for mobile phones, so you can complete surveys on your phone with no problems. The most notable feature of Survey Time is it pays as soon as you finish a survey.

When you complete a survey, the next step is to choose a reward (either PayPal cash or gift card) and it should be sent within a few minutes. Then you can continue working on more surveys. Granted, the payments for each survey are not much (it ranges from $0.5 to $1) but they’re relatively short and easy to complete.

Remember, the number of surveys is highly dependent on your country, and more tend to be available in countries where English is an official language. Survey Time does have an international presence though, so there’s a good chance you can make some fast PayPal cash with them.

2 – Prolific

Prolific is another survey site that you can access on your phone, but an official app seems to be on the way. The company is based in the UK, with a focus on research and studies. So the surveys are a little more in-depth but also tend to pay a little better. If you’re in a supported country, there’s a good chance that you’ll be able to participate in plenty of studies to earn fast money.

As for cashout options, Prolific supports PayPal and Circle, and payments are processed on Tuesdays and Fridays. However, after you cash out to the same PayPal account four times in a row, you’ll qualify for instant payments, which are processed within 24 hours.

The good news is they pay in pounds, which tends to be a bit stronger than other currencies (you can convert it to a different currency inside PayPal.) Overall, Prolific is one of the better survey platforms.

3 – Field Agent App

Moving on from surveys, Field Agent is an interesting app (available on IOS and Google Play) that pays members to complete various on-site tasks, such as mystery shopping, verifying signs, and completing a wide range of other requests. You’ll most likely need a car or some other vehicle to complete these tasks because they require you to visit in person and take pictures

Once you create an account, you’ll see a map with flags for all the nearby jobs. From there, you reserve jobs and then complete them within the timeframe. Most take a few minutes to complete, not including the commute. The instructions are usually straightforward and simple, such as “Go to this address and verify if the store accepts Google Pay”.

What you need to know about Field Agent is it doesn’t pay via PayPal. Instead, it pays via direct deposit, which is much faster (usually processed in minutes) but you’ll need a local bank account to receive payments. Currently, the company operates in the U.S, Canada, UK, Mexico, Australia, and South Africa.

4 – ShopKick

ShopKick is another app similar to Field Agent because both require in-site visits, but the way ShopKick works is a little different. For starters, ShopKick uses a point system. The points are called Kicks, and you can earn kicks in several ways, such as completing tasks, watching videos, scanning barcodes, walking into stores, shopping with a specific credit card, and scanning receipts.

The interesting thing about ShopKick is you can earn points by simply entering a store and scanning the barcodes of certain items. Once you earn enough Kicks, you can redeem them for rewards in the store. Most of the rewards are gift cards but there’s the option to redeem PayPal cash too. The good news is redeeming rewards, including PayPal, should be instant.

While you probably won’t be able to use ShopKick full-time, it’s an easy way to earn some extra cash or gift cards for spending time in stores that you already visit.

5 – Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards is Google’s survey and rewards app. It’s good for people who are concerned with third-party companies and trust the Google brand. For the most part, Google Opinion Rewards works much like other survey apps, you simply complete market research surveys for some cash.

The default cashout option is Google Play Credits which you can use to buy apps, mobile games, or movies. There’s also the option to request PayPal cash which is unlocked when you earn $2 or more, and it’s usually instantly transferred to your PayPal account. Most of the surveys are relatively short and pay between $0.10 to $1 a pop.

Using Apps to Make Money

So those are some of the best apps to make money fast with your phone. Once again, you shouldn’t expect to get rich with these apps, but it’s always nice to have some extra pocket cash. It’s free money after all.
